Ten Mile Creek Preserve
We are proud to highlight St. Lucie County's Ten Mile Creek Preserve as our Park of the Month for May 2012.
The eight-acre preserve provides canoe access to Ten Mile Creek, a tributary of the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. A short, self-guided interpretive trail guides visitors through the floodplain forest, floodplain swamp and oxbows.
Ten Mile Creek Preserve contains an interpretive trail that winds through the site identifying some very old and majestic hickory, oak and sabal palms. A canoe launch enables visitors the opportunity to explore the historic oxbows along Ten Mile Creek.
